Mount Vernon fares are mileage-based estimates — not final

Distances and drive times above are correct. The fare cells shown are estimated from per-mile rates, not real dispatch figures, and are marked "est." accordingly. Replace them with confirmed dispatch pricing before this feeds the Offer schema or the route pages — do not treat these as bookable rates until verified.

All prices are starting fares for the vehicle class named. Your exact total depends on your pickup address, vehicle class, and any add-ons — request a quote to see the confirmed figure before you book. Round trips save ten percent.

Local knowledge

The easiest airport run in Skagit County

Mount Vernon has a geographic advantage most of the county does not: it sits directly on I-5. There is no twenty-minute SR-20 leg to drive before the journey properly starts. That makes it roughly twenty-two miles and twenty minutes closer to Sea-Tac than Anacortes, and the fare reflects it.

What it does not escape is the Everett corridor. Whatever your pickup point in Skagit County, the stretch south of Everett decides whether a Sea-Tac run takes seventy-five minutes or a hundred. We build your pickup around the hour you are actually travelling rather than an average.

And for three weeks in April, Mount Vernon has a traffic problem nowhere else in Washington has.

During the Tulip Festival, the roads west of town can add forty minutes to a trip that normally takes ten.

April

Travelling during the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival

Every April the tulip fields bring a large number of visitors onto a small number of rural roads west of Mount Vernon. If your pickup is anywhere near Best Road, Beaver Marsh, or the fields themselves, a normally trivial drive into town can take considerably longer.

We plan for it. April pickups from affected areas are scheduled with extra buffer built in, and where possible your driver routes around the fields rather than through them. If you are flying out during the festival, book early and tell us your pickup address — a mile in the wrong direction genuinely changes the plan.

If you are here for the tulips, we also run hourly charters through the fields. A driver who parks and waits is a meaningfully better experience than circling for a space in a rented car.

Rail connections

Combining Amtrak and a flight

Mount Vernon is one of the few towns in the county with an Amtrak Cascades stop, which opens up a combination most travellers never consider: rail one direction, air the other.

We collect from the station and run you to Sea-Tac, Paine Field, or Bellingham, and we do the reverse for arrivals. Give us the train number the same way you would give us a flight number, and we will time the pickup to the scheduled arrival rather than to a guess.
