Home / Privacy Policy
Legal · PrivacyThis policy explains what personal information Anacortes Airport Shuttle & Private Car Service collects when you use our website or book a ride, how we use and protect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
Your information runs your trip. It is not sold, rented, or shared with data brokers or advertisers, with or without consent.
Card details go directly to a PCI-compliant processor. We never store full card numbers on our own systems.
Access, correct, or delete your data at any time by phone or email. Doing so never affects your service or your fare.
We are a small local transportation company, not a data business. We collect what we need to get you where you are going, we keep it secure, and we do not sell it. That is the whole philosophy, and everything below is the detail behind it.
This policy explains what we collect when you use our website or book a ride, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and what rights you have over it. If anything here is unclear, email info@anacortesairportshuttle.com and we will answer plainly.
We use your information to run your trip. We do not sell or rent it. Payment data is handled by an encrypted processor, not stored by us. You can ask to see, correct, or delete your data at any time.
This policy applies whenever you interact with Anacortes Airport Shuttle & Private Car Service through:
It does not cover independently operated businesses whose services you may reach through us or through a link on our site. Travel agents, aggregators, corporate travel programs, and payment providers operate their own policies, and you should read theirs where they apply to you.
Where your trip is booked through a corporate account, travel agent, or third-party platform, we receive your booking details from them. Where you provide a flight number, we receive publicly available flight status data from tracking services.
Some travellers tell us about a mobility need, a medical device, or an assistance requirement so we can plan the trip properly. We treat that information as confidential, use it only to arrange your transport, and share it only with the driver assigned to you.
We process personal data for the following purposes and no others:
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not use your trip data to build advertising profiles, and we do not share it with data brokers.
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device to remember things between visits. We use them sparingly.
| Type | What it does | Can you refuse it? |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Keeps your booking session and login working, and secures payment steps. | No — the site cannot function without these |
| Analytics | Tells us which pages and routes people actually use, in aggregate. | Yes |
| Functional | Remembers preferences so you do not re-enter them each visit. | Yes |
| Marketing | Measures whether our advertising reaches people who go on to book. | Yes |
Every major browser lets you block cookies, delete stored ones, or warn you before accepting. Look under settings, privacy, or site data, depending on the browser.
Blocking essential cookies will break the booking system — you will not be able to complete a reservation. Blocking analytics, functional, or marketing cookies has no effect on your ability to book.
Our analytics provider and payment processor set their own cookies under their own policies. We do not control those, and we encourage you to review their settings if that matters to you.
We use a small number of external services to run the site and the booking process. Each receives only the data it needs to do its job.
These providers act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
Card details are entered into an encrypted form provided by our payment processor and transmitted directly to them. We do not store full card numbers on our systems.
What we retain is the information needed to identify and reconcile a transaction: the last four digits, card type, transaction reference, amount, and date. That is what allows us to issue refunds, apply authorized additional charges, and answer billing questions.
Where you authorize post-trip charges — extra stops, wait time, ferry or parking costs, cleaning — these are processed against the same securely held payment token, and an itemized receipt is emailed to you.
We take the following measures to protect your information:
No system is completely secure, and we will not claim otherwise. Please protect your account credentials and tell us immediately at (360) 200-6656 if you suspect unauthorized access to your account or bookings.
We share personal information only in these circumstances:
We do not share data for third-party marketing purposes. Not with consent, not without it — we simply do not do it.
We keep personal information only as long as we have a reason to.
Where we no longer need information, it is deleted or anonymized. If you want to publish specific retention periods, for example seven years for financial records, insert them here.
We operate in Washington State and our systems and providers are based in the United States. If you access our site or book from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data protection law differs from that of your own country.
By booking with us, you understand and accept that transfer. If you have questions about how your data is handled from outside the U.S., contact us before booking.
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights over your personal information:
Email info@anacortesairportshuttle.com or call (360) 200-6656 with your name, the email or phone number used to book, and what you would like us to do. We may need to verify your identity before acting, particularly on deletion requests, so that nobody else can make a request in your name.
State your response time for privacy requests, for example within 45 days, which aligns with several state privacy statutes.
Our website and booking system are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13, and children may not create accounts or make reservations.
Children do of course travel with us, and where an adult books a trip that includes children we collect only what is needed to carry them safely: the number of children, their ages where a car seat is required, and the seat type. We do not collect names or contact details for child passengers, and we do not retain that information beyond the trip records.
If you believe a child has provided us personal information directly, contact us and we will remove it.
Some browsers send a Do Not Track signal or a global opt-out preference. There is still no single agreed standard for how sites should respond to these.
Our position is straightforward: we honour recognized opt-out preference signals where our systems can read them, and in any case we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-site advertising, which is what these signals are principally designed to prevent.
Our pages link to external resources that travellers find useful — airline sites, airport information, Washington State Ferries schedules, flight trackers. Those sites are operated by others under their own privacy policies.
We are not responsible for the content or data practices of any site we link to. Following a link means leaving our site, and we would encourage you to check the privacy policy of anywhere you then enter personal information.
When you provide a mobile number, you consent to receive automated text messages relating to your reservation. These are transactional, sent under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
Message frequency depends on your bookings and is typically a handful per trip. Message and data rates may apply under your own mobile plan.
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them, or HELP for assistance. You can also tell us when you book. We do not send promotional texts without separate consent.
Driver assignment and arrival notifications go out by text. Opting out means you will not receive them, which on a 4:00 AM pickup is genuinely inconvenient.
We may occasionally email customers about service changes, seasonal availability, or offers. Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.
Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages about a trip you have booked. Those are part of delivering the service you paid for, and they continue regardless.
We keep records of reservations made or changed by phone, and of email correspondence, so there is an accurate account of what was agreed. This protects both sides where a booking detail is later disputed.
State whether calls are recorded. If they are, say so explicitly and describe the notice given at the start of the call, since Washington is an all-party consent state for call recording under RCW 9.73.030. If calls are not recorded, say that instead.
Our cancellation terms are set out in full in our Terms & Conditions, which is the authoritative version. In summary:
To cancel, call (360) 200-6656 or email info@anacortesairportshuttle.com. Your cancellation is effective once we confirm it in writing.
When you give us a flight number at booking, we track the flight and adjust your pickup automatically for delays and early arrivals. You do not need to call us from the aircraft.
Tracking covers delays to the flight you booked. It cannot tell us that you were rebooked onto a different flight, missed a connection, or decided not to travel. In those situations contact us as soon as you know, because an untracked change can otherwise become a no-show.
Where your flight is cancelled outright, call us. We will rebook your transfer for the replacement flight subject to availability. Where we cannot, we will discuss the fairest outcome with you rather than applying the cancellation table mechanically to a situation neither of us caused.
Gratuity is not included in the quoted fare. We do not build it in and we do not pre-select an amount at checkout.
You may add a gratuity during booking at whatever level you think appropriate, or tip your driver directly in cash at the time of service. Either is fine and neither is expected. Where a gratuity is added at booking and the trip is later cancelled, it is refunded in full with the fare.
Each vehicle class carries a stated luggage capacity that matches its passenger capacity — two bags in a standard sedan, six in a luxury SUV, fourteen in a Sprinter van. Figures assume standard checked bags.
We do not charge per-bag fees. Our approach is to assign a vehicle large enough for what you are actually carrying, which is why we ask for a luggage count at booking. Skis, golf bags, bicycles, musical instruments, boxes, and oversized cases reduce effective capacity and must be declared so we can size the vehicle correctly.
Where a party arrives with substantially more luggage than declared, the driver may need to arrange an upgrade or a second vehicle at additional cost, or may be unable to carry it all. Declaring accurately at booking avoids this entirely.
We supply and install appropriate child restraints as a paid add-on, selected at checkout. Available seat types cover rear-facing infant seats, forward-facing toddler seats, and boosters. Insert the per-seat add-on price.
You are equally welcome to bring your own seat, in which case there is no charge and your driver will assist with installation.
Washington's child restraint statute exempts for-hire vehicles, so we are not legally required to provide seats at all. We do it anyway. Full detail is in our Terms & Conditions.
Service animals are always welcome, at no additional charge and with no carrier required, in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Mentioning the animal at booking helps us allow appropriate space; it is not a request for permission.
Pets travel as a paid add-on and must be booked in advance. Animals should be crated or appropriately restrained and accustomed to vehicle travel. Larger animals generally require a van or SUV rather than a sedan, so tell us the size and whether a carrier will be used.
Owners are responsible for their animal's behaviour and for any cleaning required afterward, charged at $100 to $250 depending on the vehicle and the extent of the cleaning.
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices, our systems, or the law. The current version is always the one published here, with the last-updated date shown at the top of the page.
Where a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will say so on this page and, where appropriate, notify customers by email. Continuing to use the site or book with us after an update means you accept the revised policy.
Questions about this policy, or a request about your own information, go to the same place as everything else: a person at a small company in Anacortes.
For a data request, include the name and the email address or phone number used to book, so we can locate your records and verify the request is genuinely yours.
By booking a ride or using this website, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
Access, correction, and deletion requests go to the same phone number and inbox as everything else. A person handles them.
Enter your pickup, destination, and travel date. You'll see the exact price before you commit to anything.
