Large group charters, ten to fourteen passengers per vehicle.

Anacortes Airport Shuttle provides group transportation in ten-passenger Ford Transit and fourteen-passenger Mercedes Sprinter vans for corporate teams, reunions, sports groups, conferences, and family travel across northwest Washington. Larger parties travel across coordinated vehicles departing and arriving together rather than separately.

The case

One vehicle beats three

Splitting a group across multiple rideshares is almost always worse on cost, time, and sanity.

A group of twelve travelling to Sea-Tac by rideshare means three vehicles, three fares, three drivers with different ideas about the route, and three arrival times spread across forty minutes. Somebody always ends up waiting at the terminal wondering where everyone else is.

One Sprinter carries all twelve, arrives at once, and costs less than the three vehicles combined at any hour when demand is real. Everyone travels together, the luggage goes in one place, and there is exactly one pickup time to communicate.

For groups above fourteen we run coordinated vehicles — departing together, routed together, and arriving together rather than trickling in.

Luggage figures assume one standard checked bag per passenger. Sports equipment, instruments, and cruise luggage all reduce effective capacity, so declare them when you book and we will add a vehicle rather than leave anything behind.

Who books this

Four groups we carry most

Corporate & conference

Team travel to Sea-Tac, conference transport to Seattle and Bellevue, and client delegations. Corporate accounts carry Net 30 invoicing and priority scheduling.

Reunions & family travel

Multi-generational groups where splitting across vehicles is exactly what nobody wants. One van, one pickup time, everyone together.

Sports & school groups

Squads and teams with equipment. Declare the gear at booking — bags and kit fill a van considerably faster than suitcases.

Cruise & wedding groups

Two of the heaviest-luggage bookings we take. Cruise groups in particular should size up rather than across.

Group destinations

Airports

Sea-Tac, PAE, BLI

Group airport runs from anywhere in Skagit County, Whidbey Island, or Whatcom County, with the whole party in one vehicle.

Cruise

Pier 66 and Pier 91

Group cruise transfers with luggage capacity that reflects how cruise passengers actually pack.

Events

Seattle and Bellevue

Conferences, games, concerts, and corporate events, booked hourly so the vehicle waits rather than being rebooked.

Regional

Day trips and charters

North Cascades, Chuckanut, tulip fields, and long-haul charters over the passes on request.

Booking notes

Three things that matter on group bookings

STEP 01

Count the luggage honestly

This is where group bookings go wrong. Fourteen people with fourteen bags fits a Sprinter. Fourteen people with twenty-two bags does not, and we would rather add a vehicle in advance.

STEP 02

Book earlier than you think

Group vehicles are the scarcest thing we have. A Sprinter committed to a wedding on a Saturday is unavailable for anything else that day, and summer fills months out.

STEP 03

Note the 7-day cancellation

Transit, Sprinter, and hourly charter bookings require 7 days notice to cancel without charge, rather than the 24 hours for standard transfers. Check the date when you confirm.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is the largest group you can carry?

Fourteen passengers in a single Mercedes Sprinter van. Above that we run coordinated vehicles — a Sprinter and a Transit together carry twenty-four, and adding SUVs takes it higher. Everything departs and arrives together.

Is a group charter cheaper than multiple rideshares?

For airport runs from this region, almost always. Three vehicles at any hour when demand is real costs more than one van, and that is before the coordination problem of three separate arrival times.

How does luggage work for groups?

Each vehicle carries roughly one standard checked bag per passenger. Sports equipment, instruments, and cruise luggage take considerably more space, so declare them at booking and we will size up rather than leave items behind.

Can you handle sports teams with equipment?

Yes, with notice. Kit bags and equipment change the effective capacity of a van substantially, so tell us what is coming and we will assign accordingly or add a second vehicle.

Do you do conference and event transport?

Yes. Conference transport to Seattle and Bellevue, and event runs including games and concerts, are usually booked hourly so the vehicle stays with the group rather than being rebooked between legs.

Can we set up a corporate account for group travel?

Yes. Corporate accounts include consolidated invoicing on Net 30 terms, priority scheduling, and a named contact for booking changes.

What is the cancellation policy for group bookings?

Transit, Sprinter, and hourly charter bookings require 7 days notice to cancel without charge, rather than the 24 hours that applies to standard transfers. The longer window reflects how far ahead these vehicles are committed.

How far ahead should we book a group?

As early as possible. Group vehicles are the scarcest part of our fleet, and summer weekends commit months in advance.
