Home / Terms & Conditions
LegalThese terms govern your use of the Anacortes Airport Shuttle & Private Car Service website and your booking of transportation from us. Booking a ride means agreeing to them. They cover reservations, fares and add-ons, cancellations and refunds, luggage and passenger limits, and our respective responsibilities. Call us if anything here needs clarifying.
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Anacortes Airport Shuttle & Private Car Service website and your booking of transportation from us. By using this site or reserving a ride, you confirm that you have read these terms, understood them, and agreed to be bound by them. If any part is unacceptable to you, please stop using the site and do not book.
This agreement is the whole understanding between you and us on these subjects and replaces anything said or written previously. Where a corporate account agreement exists, that agreement governs any point on which the two conflict.
We work to keep fares, distances, drive times, and service details correct and current. We do not guarantee that every figure is free of error, and we reserve the right to correct mistakes and change services without prior notice.
To book with us you must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding contract. We may decline or cancel a reservation if we have reason to believe this is not the case, or if a previous account has been suspended.
An account is not required. You may book as a guest. Creating one lets you review past trips, repeat a booking, and save details for next time. Accounts are free and there are no membership charges. You may close yours at any time at no cost, which removes access to saved trip history.
You are responsible for activity carried out under your account, whether by you or by someone else with access to it.
Every trip we operate is pre-arranged. We do not run fixed-route shuttles, sell per-seat tickets, or dispatch on demand. When you book, a specific vehicle and driver are assigned to your trip.
Each reservation books the entire vehicle for a single party. We will not add another booking to your vehicle, and there are no scheduled stops between your pickup and destination unless you request them.
We recommend booking at least 24 hours in advance, and considerably earlier for pre-dawn departures, summer travel, holiday weekends, and cruise sailing days. Advance notice is what allows us to guarantee both the vehicle class and the pickup time.
Airport bookings carry specific terms because they are tied to a flight rather than only to a clock.
A reservation to the airport is valid only for the date and time booked. A reservation from the airport is valid for the date booked, with timing adjusted against your tracked flight. We are not responsible for unused reservations or missed flights resulting from incorrect details supplied at booking. Changing a pickup or drop-off location may change the fare.
Standard airport arrivals are curbside. Pre-arranged car service uses a different area from the rideshare app lot, and your driver sends exact meeting instructions on travel day. Once you have collected your luggage, contact the number in your confirmation and dispatch will direct you to the vehicle. You may be asked what you are wearing so the driver can identify you among others waiting at the curb.
Meet-and-greet is a paid add-on. Your driver waits inside at baggage claim with a name sign, assists with luggage, and walks you to the vehicle. It must be selected at booking; it cannot be added on arrival.
Flight tracking only works if we have the number. Without it we schedule against the time you supplied, and a delayed flight becomes your problem to solve rather than ours.
A short-notice booking is any request made less than two hours before the requested pickup. We will try to accommodate these, but because we operate on assigned vehicles rather than on-demand dispatch, we cannot guarantee availability or on-time arrival at that notice.
Whether we can fulfil a short-notice request depends on what is already scheduled, the distance to your pickup address, and conditions on the day. If we cannot, we will tell you promptly rather than leaving it uncertain.
For anything inside two hours, phone (360) 200-6656. It reaches someone who can see the schedule immediately, which a form cannot.
Fares are fixed per vehicle and quoted before you confirm. They are not per passenger: a sedan fare covers up to two passengers, an SUV up to six. Adding people to your party does not change the price until you need a larger vehicle class.
The fare is identical regardless of hour, day, or season. A 4:00 AM pickup on a holiday weekend is priced the same as a midday weekday trip.
Booking both directions at the same time reduces the total by ten percent and reserves the vehicle for your return.
A quoted fare reflects the addresses given at the time of booking. Changing either one after confirmation may change the fare, and we will tell you the revised figure before applying it.
Some services are priced separately so you only pay for what you need. These are selected during checkout and added to your total before you confirm.
Gratuity is not included in the quoted fare. You may add one of your choosing at checkout. It is entirely discretionary and no default amount is applied.
We supply and install appropriate child seats as a paid add-on. Select the seat type and quantity when booking so the seat is fitted before your driver arrives.
Pets travel as a paid add-on. Tell us the animal's size and whether it will be crated so we can assign a suitable vehicle.
For airport arrivals, your driver meets you inside at baggage claim with a name sign and assists with luggage to the vehicle. Paid add-on, selected at booking.
Beyond the quoted fare and the add-ons you selected, further charges apply only where a trip changes or where a cost is incurred on your behalf.
Additional stops requested during a point-to-point trip are calculated on the additional mileage the stop adds to the booked route, and quoted to you before they are applied. Extra stops do not apply to hourly charter bookings, where stops are included within the reserved hours.
A grace period is included at every pickup. Beyond it, waiting time is chargeable. State the included grace period for standard pickups, the included wait for domestic and international airport arrivals, and the rate charged beyond it. This is the last significant policy gap on this page.
Excessive spills, stains, odours, or damage beyond normal use are chargeable at between $100 and $250, depending on the vehicle involved and the extent of the cleaning required. The charge covers restoring the vehicle to service and the time it is unavailable for other bookings.
Routes requiring a Washington State Ferries sailing — most commonly San Juan Islands service — carry the cost of the crossing for the vehicle and driver. This is quoted with the fare rather than added afterward.
Where a driver must park to wait for you, or a route change incurs a toll not accounted for in the quote, those costs are passed through at cost.
Payment is taken at the time of booking through our secure system, which is what confirms the reservation. We accept major credit and debit cards. Drivers do not take payment in the vehicle, and all trips must be paid before pickup unless a corporate account is in place.
By providing payment details you authorize us to charge the same method for legitimate additional costs arising from your trip, specifically: extra stops you requested, wait time beyond the included grace period, ferry or parking costs incurred on your behalf, and cleaning where required. A receipt itemizing any additional charge is emailed after the trip.
Card transactions are processed through an encrypted payment gateway. We do not sell or share your payment details with third parties.
To protect cardholders against fraudulent bookings, we may require valid government-issued photo identification for any reservation with a total fare above $500. The name on the identification must match the name and payment details on the booking.
Where identification cannot be produced or does not match the reservation, we may decline the trip and cancel the booking without refund. We are not liable for costs arising from an inability to verify the traveller's identity. If you are booking on behalf of someone else, tell us at the time so we can note the reservation accordingly.
Any voucher or gift certificate we issue is a method of payment, not a reservation. You must still book a trip in the ordinary way, and availability is not held by holding a voucher.
Where you have purchased our service through a travel agent, aggregator, or other reseller, that provider sets its own terms, which cannot override these Terms. Check that what you purchased matches the service you intend to use before travelling. Refunds, changes, and billing disputes on third-party bookings must be raised with the provider you bought from, not with us.
Businesses that travel with us regularly can hold an account with consolidated invoicing rather than paying per trip. Accounts include priority scheduling and a named contact for booking changes.
Approved account holders can book online using their account credentials, by phone with our team, or by arrangement for recurring travel.
Accounts are invoiced after completed trips on Net 30 terms. Invoices itemize each trip with its fare and any additional charges. Late payment may result in late fees or suspension of account privileges, in which case bookings revert to payment at reservation.
Setting up an account requires an application. We may carry out a credit assessment and request supporting financial information before approving one, and we reserve the right to modify, suspend, or close an account for non-payment or misuse.
Where a refund is due on a corporate account, it is normally applied as a credit against the account rather than returned to a card, since account trips are invoiced rather than prepaid.
Where a credit is not appropriate — for example on a closed account — a refund is issued by check to the billing address held on file. It is the account holder's responsibility to keep that address current; we are not responsible for delays caused by an out-of-date address or by postal service disruption.
Refund requests on corporate accounts should be raised with your named contact, citing the invoice and trip in question.
We may withdraw or amend a promotion at any time. Codes already correctly applied to a confirmed booking are honoured.
A confirmation email is sent as soon as your booking is processed, listing pickup and destination, date and time, vehicle class, fare breakdown, and reservation number. Please read it and tell us straight away if anything is wrong.
Within 24 hours of your trip we send your driver's name, contact number, vehicle description, and plate number. Your driver also contacts you 30 to 60 minutes before pickup.
All trips are prepaid, so your payment receipt is emailed at booking. We do not issue printed or in-vehicle receipts. If you need a duplicate for expenses, contact us with the reservation number and we will send one. Requests for older records are subject to what we still hold.
To change a booking, call us at (360) 200-6656. Changes to pickup time, addresses, vehicle class, passenger count, or added stops are subject to availability and may change the fare. Any difference is communicated to you before it is applied.
Give us as much notice as you can. Changes made close to travel time, during holiday periods, or on cruise sailing days are harder to accommodate and more likely to affect the fare. Where a change is significant enough to amount to a new booking, our cancellation terms apply to the original.
Our cancellation windows differ by service type, because the vehicles differ in how far ahead they are committed.
Cancel more than 24 hours before your scheduled pickup and no charge applies. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup are charged the full fare.
Bookings for our Ford Transit van, Mercedes Sprinter van, and any hourly charter require 7 days notice. Cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled pickup are charged the full fare.
The longer window on larger vehicles reflects the fact that a single group booking commits a vehicle and driver for a substantial block of time that cannot realistically be refilled at short notice.
Call (360) 200-6656 or email info@anacortesairportshuttle.com. Your cancellation is effective when we acknowledge it, and we will send written confirmation. Please do not assume a cancellation has registered until you have that confirmation.
Occasionally conditions make a trip unsafe or impossible — severe weather, road closures, ferry suspensions. Where we cancel, you receive a full refund. We will always try to offer an alternative first.
If you are booking a Transit, a Sprinter, or an hourly charter, the 7-day window applies from the moment you confirm. Please note the date it falls on when you book.
Where a cancellation falls outside the chargeable window set out above, the fare is refunded in full to the original payment method.
State how quickly you process approved refunds, for example within two business days of approval. How long the refund then takes to appear depends on your bank or card issuer rather than on us, and typically runs to several business days beyond our processing.
Where a trip is shortened, downgraded, or partially delivered at our instigation, we refund the difference. Where a trip is not used and no cancellation was made within the applicable window, no refund is due.
Add-ons are refunded with the fare they were attached to. Gratuity added at checkout is refunded in full on any cancelled trip.
A reservation is treated as abandoned when the driver has arrived at the agreed pickup location at the agreed time, has waited through the included grace period, and has been unable to reach you on the contact number given at booking.
In that situation the trip is recorded as a no-show and the full fare is charged. No refund or credit is issued.
Published drive times are realistic estimates based on the route and typical conditions for the hour of travel. They are not guarantees. Traffic, weather, collisions, road closures, ferry disruption, and airport or security delays are outside our control.
We plan pickup times with buffer built in rather than to the theoretical minimum, track flights where numbers are provided, and contact you if we anticipate a problem. Where a significant disruption affects service, we notify affected customers by phone, text, or email.
We are not responsible for missed flights, sailings, connections, or consequential costs arising from delays caused by conditions beyond our control. We strongly encourage allowing more buffer than feels necessary for time-critical travel, particularly in winter and on summer weekends.
The Everett corridor on I-5, the Deception Pass bridge on summer weekends, and Washington State Ferries schedule changes are the three recurring sources of delay on our routes. We plan around all three, but none is fully predictable.
A number of our routes depend on sailings rather than roads, and those trips carry particular terms.
For San Juan Islands travel we build your pickup around a specific sailing, allowing time to clear the vehicle line or walk-on boarding. Ferry schedules are set by WSF and are subject to cancellation, vessel changes, and seasonal timetables outside our control. Where a sailing is cancelled we will work with you on the alternative, but we cannot be responsible for the consequences of a missed or cancelled crossing.
Seattle sailings depart from Pier 66 downtown or Pier 91 at Smith Cove, which are some distance apart. Confirm the correct pier when booking; arriving at the wrong terminal because incorrect information was supplied is not grounds for a refund.
Luggage collection after a cruise routinely takes longer than passengers expect. We build that into return pickup timing, and we ask that you contact your driver once you actually have your bags rather than when you leave the ship.
Each vehicle class carries a stated maximum number of passengers and a stated luggage capacity. Both are limits, not targets, and neither can be exceeded.
Luggage figures assume standard checked bags. Skis, golf bags, bicycles, musical instruments, and oversized cases reduce effective capacity and must be declared at booking so we can assign the right vehicle.
Every passenger must occupy a seat with a working belt, and state law prohibits carrying more passengers than a vehicle is rated for. Where a party or its luggage exceeds what the reserved vehicle can lawfully and safely carry, the driver may require an upgrade or an additional vehicle, charged accordingly, or may decline the trip. Declaring accurate numbers at booking avoids this entirely.
Washington law requires all occupants to wear a seat belt. Passengers must remain belted for the duration of the trip and are responsible for fastening their own belt on entering the vehicle.
Drivers may decline to begin or continue a trip where a passenger refuses, and no refund is issued where a trip is ended for this reason. Passengers must not interfere with the driver, the vehicle controls, or the safe operation of the vehicle. Drivers have final authority on all matters of safety within the vehicle.
Tell us the number of children travelling and their ages when you book. Children may not travel on an adult's lap under any circumstances; every child needs their own seat with a working belt.
We supply and install appropriate child restraints as a paid add-on. Select the type and quantity when booking so the seat is fitted before pickup. You are welcome to bring your own instead, in which case the driver will assist with installation.
Washington's child restraint statute (RCW 46.61.687) sets requirements by age and height for children under 16: rear-facing restraints for the youngest children, forward-facing harnesses as they grow, booster seats until roughly age eight or 4 feet 9 inches tall, and back-seat travel for children under 13 where practical.
That statute expressly exempts for-hire vehicles, which includes our service. We are therefore not legally obliged to provide or require child restraints. We supply and fit them anyway, because the exemption addresses liability rather than physics, and because we would rather carry your children properly secured than merely lawfully.
Parents and guardians remain responsible for ensuring children are correctly secured. Where suitable restraint is unavailable at pickup and a child cannot be safely carried, we may be unable to complete the trip.
Some operators use the for-hire exemption as a reason not to carry car seats at all. We would rather tell you the exemption exists and then explain why we ignore it.
Washington does not set a specific minimum age for a minor to travel in a for-hire vehicle. The following is our own policy, and it exists because a transportation contract requires an adult and because a driver cannot supervise a child while driving.
For an authorized unaccompanied minor we require a named adult at both ends of the trip: someone to see them into the vehicle and someone to receive them. We will not leave a minor at an unattended address.
Where a booking is presented for an unaccompanied minor outside this policy, the driver may decline the trip and a refund may not be issued. If you need to arrange travel for a young person, call us before booking and we will set it up properly.
Pets travel as a paid add-on and must be booked in advance so we can assign a suitable vehicle. Animals should be crated or otherwise appropriately restrained, well behaved, and accustomed to vehicle travel. Larger animals may require a van rather than a sedan. Owners are responsible for their animal's behaviour and for any cleaning required afterward, charged under our cleaning policy.
Service animals are carried at no additional charge and require no crate, in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Please mention the animal when booking so we allow appropriate space — not because permission is required.
Tell us about mobility needs or required assistance when you book. Advance notice matters here more than anywhere else, because the right vehicle has to be assigned from the outset.
We do not operate wheelchair-accessible vehicles with ramps or lifts. We would rather say that plainly than have you discover it at the curb.
Our vans and SUVs can carry folding wheelchairs and mobility scooters, stowed as luggage, for passengers able to transfer into a standard vehicle seat with assistance. Tell us the type and folded dimensions when booking so we assign a vehicle with adequate space, and bear in mind that a folded chair or scooter occupies luggage capacity that would otherwise hold suitcases.
Drivers will assist with transfers, luggage, and stowing mobility equipment. There is no charge for assistance of any kind. Where our vehicles cannot meet a passenger's needs, we will say so when you enquire and, where we can, point you toward an operator who can.
We comply with applicable federal, state, and local accessibility requirements.
Smoking is prohibited in all our vehicles, including cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes, and vaping devices. Violations incur a cleaning charge of $100 to $250 and may end the trip without refund.
Alcohol may not be consumed in our sedans, SUVs, vans, or on any airport or cruise transfer. Where alcohol is permitted on a specific charter booking, it is only with our written agreement and in full compliance with Washington law, including any banquet permit the client is responsible for obtaining and providing to us in advance.
Use or possession of illegal substances is prohibited and will end the trip immediately without refund. Supplying alcohol to a minor will end the trip immediately and may be reported. Drivers may decline to carry a passenger who is intoxicated to a degree that presents a risk to themselves, the driver, or others. Drivers are prohibited from consuming or possessing alcohol while on duty.
Complimentary bottled water may be provided at our discretion. We do not supply food or other consumables unless agreed in writing as part of a charter. You are welcome to bring your own non-alcoholic drinks and food, and are responsible for anything you bring, including allergies, safe handling, and spills. Excessive mess is chargeable.
Threatening, abusive, harassing, or discriminatory behaviour toward a driver or another passenger will end the trip at the driver's discretion, without refund, and may be reported to law enforcement.
Passengers are responsible for damage they cause to a vehicle beyond ordinary wear, charged at the cost of repair. Where a trip is terminated for conduct reasons, passengers are set down at a safe location and are responsible for their onward travel.
Our obligations run in both directions. You are entitled to expect the following from every driver we assign.
If a driver falls short of this, tell us. Call (360) 200-6656 or email info@anacortesairportshuttle.com and we will investigate properly. We are a small local company and our conduct standards are something we can actually enforce.
If you think you left something in one of our vehicles, contact us as soon as you can at (360) 200-6656 or info@anacortesairportshuttle.com with a description of the item, the date and time of your trip, and your pickup and drop-off locations. The more detail you give, the faster the search.
We will search and contact you if the item is found. Recovered items can be collected from us or posted at your cost. Unclaimed items are held for 30 days, after which they are donated or disposed of.
We are not responsible for property left in a vehicle and cannot guarantee recovery. Please keep passports, wallets, laptops, and medication on your person rather than in a seat pocket.
When you submit a reservation you confirm that the details are correct: addresses, dates, times, passenger and luggage counts, and contact numbers. We build the trip from what you give us.
We are not liable for missed trips, incorrect pickups, or additional costs arising from information that was wrong at the time of booking. Your confirmation email exists so you can check it — please do, and call us if anything is off. Corrections should be requested at least four hours before pickup; the closer to travel time, the harder they are to accommodate.
We provide service on the basis of vehicle and driver availability and on nothing else. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religion or creed, disability or medical condition, age, or the location you are travelling from or to.
We comply with applicable federal, state, and local nondiscrimination law, including the Americans with Disabilities Act. Any passenger who experiences discriminatory treatment should report it to us directly, and we will investigate and act.
Published fares are the price for the service described, on the route described, in the vehicle class described. Where a page shows a starting fare, it reflects the smallest vehicle on that route; your total depends on the class selected and any add-ons.
We take care with published figures, but errors happen. Where a fare has been displayed incorrectly through a technical fault or miscalculation, we will contact you before your trip to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the corrected fare or cancel with a full refund. We are not obliged to honour a price resulting from an error.
Fares may be revised to reflect operating costs, seasonal demand, or regulatory change. Revisions apply to new bookings only; a confirmed reservation is held at the fare quoted when it was made.
We verify mobile numbers by one-time passcode before confirming certain bookings. This protects cardholders against reservations made with someone else's payment details and ensures we can reach you on travel day.
If you cannot receive a passcode, call us and we will verify the booking another way.
We use text messages for trip-related communication: booking confirmations, driver assignment, en-route notifications, arrival alerts, and travel-day changes. These are transactional messages tied to a reservation you made, sent in accordance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. They are not marketing.
Message and data rates may apply under your own mobile plan. To stop receiving them, reply STOP to any message or tell us when you book — though we recommend keeping them on, since driver notifications go out this way. Reply HELP for assistance, or call (360) 200-6656.
By giving us a mobile number you confirm it is yours, or that you have permission from the account holder to use it for this booking.
We collect only what we need to run your trip and meet our legal obligations. Your travel details, contact information, and payment data are not sold, and are shared only with the people and systems required to deliver the service.
Our full Privacy Policy sets out what we collect, how long we keep it, and your rights over it. Where these terms and the Privacy Policy address the same subject, the Privacy Policy governs.
Information you obtain about our operations through a corporate relationship, partnership, or access to our booking systems — including pricing structures, account terms, operational processes, and any customer data — is confidential.
You agree not to disclose, reproduce, or commercially exploit that information, and not to use any customer data obtained through us for marketing or solicitation. We handle personal data in accordance with applicable data protection law, and we expect partners and account holders to do the same.
This obligation continues after the end of the relationship it arose from.
We may change, suspend, or withdraw any part of this site at any time, with or without notice — including features, content, booking tools, and published rates.
We are not liable for losses arising from downtime, maintenance, technical faults, or restricted access to any part of the site. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, though we take reasonable measures on all three.
All content on this site — text, images, layout, design, logos, trademarks, and software — belongs to us or to our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property law. Using our services grants you no ownership or interest in any of it.
Unauthorized use may result in suspension of access and legal action under copyright, trademark, and trade secret law.
We respect the intellectual property rights of others and comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. If you believe material on this site infringes your copyright, send a notice to info@anacortesairportshuttle.com including:
We will review and, where appropriate, remove the material.
This website and its content are provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential losses arising from your use of this site or our services — including missed flights, missed sailings, lost business, or the cost of alternative arrangements — where these result from causes outside our reasonable control, including weather, traffic, road closures, ferry disruption, cyber incidents, or acts of government.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or wilful misconduct, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Our commercial transportation insurance operates independently of this clause.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Anacortes Airport Shuttle & Private Car Service, its owners, employees, and drivers from claims, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the site or our services, your violation of law or of a third party's rights, or damage caused by you or your party to a vehicle or to another person.
We reserve the right to assume the defence of any matter subject to indemnification, and you agree to cooperate with it. This obligation survives the end of your use of our services.
We monitor for fraudulent bookings, including unauthorized card use, false identity details, multiple suspicious reservations from one source, and chargebacks raised against legitimate completed trips.
If you believe your card or account has been used without your authorization, contact us immediately at (360) 200-6656.
We may update these terms to reflect changes in how we operate, in the law, or in our services. The current version is always the one published here, with the effective date shown at the top of the page.
Material changes will be noted on this page and, where significant, communicated by email. Continuing to use the site or to book with us after an update means you accept the revised terms. Bookings already confirmed are governed by the terms in force when they were made, including the cancellation window that applied at that time.
If we do not enforce a term on a particular occasion, that is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later, and it does not waive any other term. Leniency in one instance creates no expectation of leniency in another.
A waiver is valid only if we give it in writing and is limited to the specific circumstance stated. No waiver is implied from conduct, silence, or past practice.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes arising from them are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts of Washington, regardless of where you reside.
If any provision is found unenforceable, it applies to the greatest extent permitted and the remaining provisions continue in force.
Your rights under these terms are personal to you and cannot be transferred or assigned. We may assign our rights and obligations, for example on a sale of the business.
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any corporate account agreement, form the whole agreement between us on their subject matter, and supersede any prior representation or understanding.
If you have an unusual situation you would rather clarify before booking — a tight ferry connection, a mobility need, an oversized load — call and we will talk it through properly.
Enter your pickup, destination, and travel date. You'll see the exact price before you commit to anything.
